The Ballarat Foundation manages multiple operational programs including short-term crisis response and long-term ongoing programs.
Our programs align closely with our strategic focus areas of early childhood support, youth success, food security and housing security.
Our flagship programs include the TAC L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program, The Ballarat Reads Program (run in association with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library) and Volunteering Ballarat.
In addition to these programs, we often collaborate with other local organisations to respond to critical community needs.
In 2020, for example, in response to the COVID19 pandemic, the Ballarat Foundation led an emergency food response program in cooperation with Ballarat Community Health and the Salvation Army Ballarat. More than 2000 food parcels were delivered to students at primary, secondary and tertiary levels where food insecurity issues were identified.
L2P
The TAC L2P Program is operated locally by the Ballarat Foundation with funding provided by TAC through Department of Transport (Vic Roads), with assurance of further funding provided until 2023.
